insurance and the main exclusions are detailed below.

main exclusions

Some of
these are applicable to certain sections only
Trips undertaken against medical advice, to obtain medical treatment, or after
a terminal prognosis has been made
Any trip exceeding 60 days’ duration
Any business trip (cover can be extended to include
non-manual work if required)
Mountaineering
Aviation and Aeronautics etc other than as a passenger
Motorsport, competitions etc
Any trip where an insured person is travelling against the advice(s) of the
Foreign and Commonwealth Office
If Wintersports are selected the
policy will not cover the insured person whilst participating in certain
activities including Off piste skiing, heli-skiing, bobsleigh, luge, glacier
skiing, or any form of competition. Please see the policy wording for precise
details.
A £50.00 excess each and every loss, each insured person applies to claims
under the following sections only (you can delete this
excess for an additional £10.00 per policy)
Medical and Additional expenses
Cancellation and Curtailment
Journey Continuation
Personal effects and Money
In the event of any one occurrence giving rise to claims under more than one
section, only one monetary amount of £50.00 each insured person shall be deducted
from the total amount of the claim
Any claims directly or indirectly resulting from:
i) Cancer, leukaemia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart condition,
stroke, low or high blood pressure or any other physical defect or condition
known to exist at the time the Insured Person commenced the cover hereunder,
ii) any chronic or recurring disease or disorder of which the Insured Person
was aware at the time he/she commenced cover hereunder, or at the time of
booking a trip,
iii) any chronic or recurring disease or disorder for which a claim has previously
been paid under this Insurance,
iv) any consequence of any such defect, disease or disorder as outlined above
Any claims arising from a member
of the insureds travel party who is not also an insured member under this
insurance.
Claims in respect of Cancellation or Curtailment where you were aware or should
have been aware of circumstances prior to booking a trip or effecting the
insurance, which could be expected to result in a claim.
Pregnancy and childbirth or complications
resulting therefrom if delivery is expected during a trip or within 10 weeks
leading up to the start of a trip, or within 10 weeks following the end of
a trip.
Loss of Luggage or effects if unattended other than in a locked hotel room
, apartment,etc
Any claim
arising from your use or control of any mechanically propelled vehicle for
which you have not passed the appropriate UK Driving Test, and/or do not hold
a relevant UK Driving Licence.
Any claim other than under Section 1: Emergency Medical
and Additional expenses ,directly or indirectly caused by or in connection
with any War,Riot,Rebellion,Insurrection,Civil Commotion,Explosion of War
weapons, or terrorist activity,
However in respect of Section 1:Emergency Medical and Additional expenses
any claim caused or contributed to by an act of war or terrorism involving
the use or release or threat thereof, of any nuclear weapon or device, or
chemical or biological agent is excluded.
Please
note that most Travel Insurance Policies carry a blanket war and similar risks
exclusion, however, we are able to provide cover in repect of the most important
aspect, Medical and Emergency expenses on a worldwide
basis.
