Q When should I first start the cover ?
A As soon as you have made a booking. This will give you the benefit of cancellation cover should you have to cancel the holiday for various reasons.

Q What is defined as Europe?
A Europe includes Ireland,The Channel Islands, The Azores, The Canary Islands, Morocco,Tunisia, , Mediterranean Islands, Turkey, Black Sea Resorts and Commonwealth of Independent States (West of the Ural Mountains)

Q Does the policy cover skiing ?
A provided you have selected this option the cover includes Winter sports cover, which includes snowboarding etc. There are some exclusions eg. off piste, heli-skiing, ski-jumping, bobsleighs etc. Cover can be provided for any activity but you will need to contact us.
Q Does the policy cover UK travel or holidays?
A Yes provided that this involves at least 2 nights pre-booked accommodation

Q I am going on a holiday which includes various sports. Am I covered ?
A Yes, all normal recreational sporting activities are covered which will include, windsurfing, scuba diving, jetbiking ,even the odd bunjee jump, but there are certain exclusions such as mountaineering/rock climbing, potholing etc.

Q. Is flying covered ?
A Only as a passenger

Q. When does the cover start ?
A The Cancellation and Curtailment cover applies from when the trip is booked or from the policy inception date, whichever is the later

Q. What happens if I am ill whilst away ?
A. Full details of how to claim and what to do in a medical emergency, including 24 hour Emergency helpline numbers are included in the documents issued. For a summary click here

Q I am going on holiday with my parents/ friends. Can they be covered under this policy
A No, but we can arrange specially discounted cover for them separately.

Q. I am diabetic. How does this affect the cover ?
A. Mild diabetes, i.e a stable condition that is controlled by diet and or tablets is not excluded under the medical expenses section

Q. What about asthma ?
A. Same as above. stable and non-chronic conditions are not excluded under the medical expenses section

Q I am pregnant, how does this affect the cover ?
A Cover applies up to 9 weeks of the expected date of confinement.If you travel in the final 9 weeks, or in the 9 weeks after delivery,claims arising as a result of pregnancy and childbirth are excluded .
